Macaws

 Macaws Are absolutely the best in my book !! Gentle Giants.... And it doesn't matter which macaw , from the minis to the giants , They are people with feathers . But everything still depends on the relationship you build with your Companion Parrot.

It Is What You Make It , but it takes , trust ,  love and dedication to build a wonderful life long relationship with your bird.

 Keep your bird well socialized ! You are all part of his flock!  It is a natural instinct for a macaw to scream at the start of day to tell the flock it is time to wake up and start foraging  . Also of an evening to announce to flock members it is time to gather for the roost . During play to say Woo Hoo !!! I'm alive !! Or even to call you back to the flock should you have to step out of the house or out of their sight ,they see you as flock members . If you cannot except the loud behavior it maybe be a better choice to choose a different species of parrot , there are many somewhat quieter species that would be more compatible to a quiet living style. On Pet finder there are currently 175 pages of parrots at rescue facilities through out the US . We never want to see our Babies end up in this situation and always are here for you to turn your companion over to us if you are no long able to care for it .
