If it has been a while since your bird had his nails trimmed it could be that this process of trimming back to a normal length will need to be done in more than one session , in these cases a return visit may be required , in this case the charge will be only 5.00 until the nails are trimmed back to a safe length. We do this to prevent irritation and possible bleeding. as your birds nails grow , so does the vein that supplies blood to the nail for growth. trimming the nail back too quickly can cause irritation or bleeding and may cause your bird to pick at the tender nail and cause injury and more bleeding.
Wings can only be trimmed after molting when flight feathers have completely grown out

Should you need a place to house your companion bird while you take a vacation we offer services to care for the needs of your bird while you are away.
Requirements before we can accept your bird for a visit in our Aviary:
Most importantly your bird needs a vet check to make sure it is in good health before you leave it in the care of another. This will have to be done before your bird can stay with us. You will need to leave vet check papers here with him and they will be returned to you when you pick up your bird . Fees must be paid in advance.
The rest is pretty easy: our charges are 10.00 per day per bird , you will need to bring your bird and cage ,unless we have available cages for use. His or Her basic food and treats of favor , Your Companions visit will be less stressful if he has his cage , its his home and security, but we usually have cages available! We want to make his stay a birdie vacation so to speak. Please make a list of daily habits and things he likes to do , but also include things he doesn't like as well.
This is what your bird will get on a daily basis
fresh food and clean water , fruit and fresh vegetables , and a clean cage every day along with interaction with our family .
Should your bird need medical attention while you are away . First we contact you , then your bird will see a local vet , Those expenses can be paid when you come to pick up your bird . Should the reason for a vet visit be the fault of our Aviary and care , those expenses will be paid by us.
'If your bird has special needs be sure to notify us of its needs and those needs will be met.
Continued services after sales:
We are always here for our customers after the sale . We are here for you should you hit a bump in the road with your bird for what ever reason weather it be a change in maturing hormones or just a passing faze.
We are even here for you and your bird should there be an emergency , but please remember in some cases your bird may need an Avian Vet or in a local emergency - We recommend Central Animal Hospital in Energy, Il
